Hoax?

Was this an elaborate hoax? To believe so, you would need to accept that Amber:

Enlisted friends, family, doctors, nurses, and acquaintances to conspire with her over 5 years.
Faked text messages, audio recordings, photos, bruises, scars, emails, medical records, multiple therapists' notes, and a 911 call.
Turned down 25 million in the divorce settlement, that she was entitled to per California law, in favor of 7 million because she was a gold digger.
Left no evidence of planning and no one has come forward to admit they ever lied for her.
Convinced people to testify for her 6 years after the relationship ended despite having been subject to harassment and intimidation with zero incentive to continue lying for her.
Fooled a High Court Justice with decades of experience into ruling against Depp in his lawsuit against The Sun magazine.

Is it not more plausible that a rich and powerful man with a long and well-known history of violence used his power and influence to bury the truth?

1989

Johnny was arrested for assaulting a 19 year old hotel security guard. Depp was accused of punching and spitting on the employee after he had responded to a disturbance complaint in the actors hotel room.

1994

Johnny was arrested for trashing a hotel room during a fight with then girlfriend Kate Moss. The charges were dropped after Depp paid almost 10k in damages.

1999

Johnny was arrested for assaulting paparazzi after leaving a restaurant. Depp lured the photographer to an area in the back and struck him with a wooden board.

2011

Depp and his body guards were sued after a woman was forcibly dragged out of the VIP section of a concert. Her pants were pulled down during the altercation and she suffered injuries. The case was settled out of court in 2014.

2018

Depp was sued for assaulting Rocky Brooks on a movie set. Depp bragged about punching him in a magazine and the case was settled in July 2022. One month after the defamation trial.

2019

Depp was sued by two former body guards for assault, unpaid wages, and unsafe working conditions. They alleged they were asked to buy him illegal drugs and were asked to drive his children around with drugs and weapons in the vehicle. The case was settled out of court.

Perhaps one of the most disturbing things to come from the unsealed documents is a text exchange between Johnny and Marilyn Manson. In it they're discussing meeting up and Johnny says they need a cave of some sort and suggests one in a "De Sade" style. Manson replies let's have our own Saló room.

Marquis De Sade is the author of 120 Days of Sodom which was adapted into a movie called "Saló, 120 Days of Sodom". The story is about a group of wealthy men who engage in the rape, torture, mutilation, and murder of a group of minor children whom they imprisoned in a remote castle.

These text messages show Depp glorifying a deeply disturbing story of sexual assault and torture which makes it unsurprising that Amber testified to several instances of sexual assault and sexual violence.

Manson is currently dealing with his own legal battles over accusations of abuse and sexual assault.

In addition to being close friends with Manson, Depp is also friends and has worked with child rapist Roman Polanski and convicted rapist Harvey Weinstein. He went so far as to defend Polanski despite the fact that Polanski plead guilty to drugging and raping a 13 year old girl before fleeing the country. He's still a fugitive of the United States to this day.

Johnny Depp's other famous friendships with questionable people include Allen Ginsberg and Beechy Colclough.

Ginsberg's association with the controversial North American Man/Boy Love Association (NAMBLA) has been heavily criticized. In the 1980s, he publicly supported NAMBLA's call for the decriminalization of consensual sexual relationships between adults and minors, arguing that age-of-consent laws were oppressive.

Beechy Colclough, who attended the VA trial with Depp, was a psychotherapist in the UK who lost his license to practice after being found guilty of trying to seduce some of his patients. The accusations against him included making inappropriate comments, touching, and inviting patients to his home. Colclough was also a long time friend of Allen Ginsberg.
